Bye bye, Michelle and the return of the cigar

Malkin and friendI used to write a lot about conservative babe Michelle Malkin. I would trackback to her site and hope for just a couple of visits from people clicking around her abode. However, I’ve since found other, better ways to spend my time blogging. And that’s why I think I’ll stop writing about her…for a while, at least. I’m just tired of her bullshit. I’ve got my own bullshit, but hers is particularly smelly. This woman is so ridiculously overrated and boring. She and her blog are a four-or-five-trick pony that used to be good reading. However, her style is predictable and her takes on a range of issues totally shrill and stupid. She’s become a parody of herself and is headed down the same road as intentionally-ridiculous Ann Coulter.

What gets me about her most recent outrage (Miller Lite sponsoring an illegal alien protest) is that this pro-everything-capitalist even gives a shit. Malkin is the queen of finding some ridiculous cause celebre and beating the shit out of it. At first it was rather funny, but now it seems to be a totally cheap and a desperate means of attempting to assert some alleged influence on a company that could probably give a fuck what she and her sheeple do. She’s got quite a following of millions of readers every month, something I can hardly criticize. And, while I am purposely sensational at times, her sensationalism is clearly an unintended consequence of a jump-the-gun attitude. Need I point out the handful of anti-Malkin blogs that often provide a plethora of well-researched arguments to some of the bullshit claims Malkin routinely makes on her site?

To be sure, though, I do give credit when it’s due. Malkin has uncovered a few interesting things in the past, namely the Danish cartoon “scandal” and the recent Reuters-doctored-photos affair. Unfortunately, Malkin has again found herself in the throes of a rapturous boycott she’s initiating against Miller Lite because the brewhouse decided to sponsor an illegal alien protest. Michelle, honey, you CHEAPEN the meaning of a boycott. Your ridiculous tactics are petty and annoying. We know you hate illegal aliens. We know you hate the system that allows them to stay here while corporate interests take advantage of their vulnerabilities and — oftentimes — extreme language barriers. OK. We get it. But stop wielding your highly-influential sword in ways that make you look like a goddamned fool. Get over yourself and your pompous, overbloated TTLB-ego. The Kos-krazies still get more than three times the hits you do everyday. And that’s not saying much.
