   Denn is supposed to make a lifetime of keeping the Ins Commisioners office out of the hands of crooks?

   That’s setting a very high bar for Denn and a very low bar for everyone else.

   I have to say that comment pissed me off. There are scads of lossers and crooks in the state government and Denn happens to not be one.

   I think he could really do something with in the Lt Gov office. Lord knows keeping it out of the hands of the crooked loser Copeland is a high calling in itself. Come to mention it…

   I think maybe your Copeland love is showing through your crazy ass Denn comment Al.

   No he won’t. The post’s duties, such as they are, are set by the constitution. He’s doing it specifically because he thinks it’s a stepping stone to the governor’s office — which it historically is not. He’s leaving a job where he’s excelling to try for one that has no purpose whatsoever. Why should I encourage that?

   Until he runs for governor, yes. I don’t need a lt. gov., thank you very much. I need an honest insuranced commissioner.

   BTW, I didn’t mean I wouldn’t vote for him for Lt. Gov. I meant I won’t vote for him for governor once he makes his try for it. If I’m interested in good government, why would I vote for Blunt?

   Maybe Denn just has to go back to the private sector to make some money. He took a huge hit to his pocket by being Commissioner (he could have made a lot more staying in his law firm). Getting four good years is better than none. Thanks, Denn!!!

   I’m not voting for Copeland. I’m saying that, when the time comes, I’m going to hold Denn responsible for giving up a useful job in favor of an 8-year paid launching pad for a run for Woodburn.

    Denn earned a lot of press on holding BCBSDE accountable for timely payments. I get asked about that stand he took when people get fired up about health care companies.

    Any negatives about Denn? Yes, while he was insurance commissioners the insurance industry flooded that office with tickets to sporting events, trips and other graft! Could he have really done somethng while there, you bet your ass, he could have held hearings on SB 177, and we the taxpayers could be saving $8 million a DAY, and covered everyone. Now that we know there are “cancer clusters”, who didnt know that, but now they admit it…and boo hoo there is no money. So lets cut our teachers, cut the disabled, prisons, cut cut cut, while we could have been saving, saving saving. We could have had all the money we needed to get a handle on those already with cancer, those who will be diagnosed (and many have NO insurance) and preventative maintenance for all others, so we can cut our cancer rates to minimum. And, the environment is atrocious and yet not one, not Jack Markell, Carney/Minner or anyone else running for office, will hold the environmental polluters accountable. Think Copeland will go after Uncle Dupie…right on! Oh yes, lets have another party, and elect a couple of more dimwits who don’t have a clue as to how to fix Delaware.
