In-Depth Delaware, May Edition

It’s time again for two of Delaware’s coolest political ladies to take to the airwaves. Liz Allen and Karen Hartley-Nagle will be hosting May’s edition of “In-Depth Delaware” tomorrow from 3-4 pm on Comcast Channel 28.

This week’s discussion will be on Middle East politics with an emphasis on Iran. The ladies will have one guest on and he’s Muqtadar Khan, noted professor of Middle Eastern Studies at the University of Delaware. Khan is a bit of a lightening rod on the topic of Middle Eastern affairs and has spoken nationally and internationally on the topic on stations such as BBC, CNN, and FOX. He’s authored several books and papers on the Middle East will be discussing his plan on how the US can get out of Iraq.

Because I’ll be on vacation next week and the following week, I’m looking at ways to upload the video file so it can be viewed on this here blog.

Mike - I missed the show; we were stuck in beach traffic. grrr. Is there any chance you can post it?

BTW, their guest (Professor Khan) is interviewed in this month’s Delaware Today.

    I tuned in.
I was impressed that KHN did a show with such an expert. It clearly shows that KHN is doing research, and I hope she keeps up the practice of bringing more information to the public.
I hope to see Professor Khan again on the show.
He left the viewer with plenty to think about.

I hope, if KHN gets elected, that she would continue this idea, and share informative discussions that affect the decision making of our political leaders.

I want to thank Professor Khan who proved he truly is an expert on the middle east. Its too bad Senator Biden and Clinton and even Obama were on the campaign trail and didn’t hear his 3rd way out of Iraq.

I believe he is on to something big, makes common sense and hope he is able to convince those in power in DC to take a look at his plan. I heard that Egypt is now positing this idea and is attempting to get countries surrounding Iraq to hold a conference to pursue the idea.

The students at Uof Del certainly have a great professor in Dr. Khan, makes me wish I was still a student.

And I noticed the good Professor used NO notes…all off the top of his head…very impressive.

great show! Now if we can get Senator Biden to watch it!

KHN shows her knowledge of international affairs, she asked great questions. The two ladies are to be commended. Thanks Mike for posting, I missed it on air.

[…] No Surprise Here #5879 Rep. Bob Valihura has a nasty temper. This I know because I attended one of his now-infamous hearings on the whole manufactured housing brouhaha and watched him slap that gavel down in a fit of nearly-uncontrolled rage. Now comes word that mister testy-pants got all uppity and shit and said some things he shouldn’t have. My question: Why is anyone surprised? I mean, the whole process has been a complete sham with Valihura at the helm. It’s become so ridiculous and is apparent that the good subcommittee chairman is looking out for the interests of only one man — his party’s former chairman Terry Strine, who has a big stake in the fight, indeed! […] Update: Uh-oh. I guess I’m a moron. You all know I live in my mother’s den. So, I should have checked with mother. Apparently, while eating breakfast at Cosmos in Newport this morning, she happened upon none other than the man himself, JACK MARKELL. She immediately demanded that a “big sign” be placed in our yard, though I’m wondering if she realizes how big the sign is. Campaign worker Molly phoned me up to share the news with me. Just like the Markell campaign: always returning phone calls in under an hour. They should start delivering pizzas! […]
