As Kilroy mentioned (amount incorrect) in this post, why DID Jack Markell’s campaign give Norman Oliver
$110,000 $11,000 in 2006? I can only guess that these funds were awarded for some sort of services rendered; however, we already know of the services Mr. Oliver renders to local school districts in the form of assistance to youth with no casework to back it up. Note: All those $11,000s are simply the aggregate, meaning the total amount he received through the reporting period. For instance, Oliver received payments of $2,000, $1,000, $1,000 etc. — all totaling $11,000.
Attached is a clipping from Markell’s 30-Day report from the 2006 general election.
Nothing short of a backyard full of dead babies would get me to switch my vote from Markell this fall, but I am wondering about this. I think I’ll send press guru Joe Rogalsky an email. Gotsta get to the bottom of this one!
Update: Spoke with Markell’s press dude, Joe Rogalsky, and he informs me the services rendered were basic consulting for the campaign: meet and greets and general campaign assistance. Seems legit and Jack and his team have always been open with me. No dead babies here.
