Ruthy’s ‘hit for the team’ play on eminent domain to save her boy Carney’s butt, the Jane Brady deal to get Boy Biden into office, the SEU organization formed for the sole purpose of lining a few politicians’ pockets; they’re all clever. But I think its more than political ambition and personal wealth accumulation through tax funded schemes.

I think these clever political games are also a symptom of the insecure and incompetent. We have hospitals where patients stand a greater chance of getting raped than in prison; we have roadway projects where $60 million dollar piles of dirt are put in the wrong place; we have connected relatives embezzling state monies.

I think the clever ploys used are more to prove to themselves that they can accomplish something. Its an affirmation of their self-worth that is properly self-doubted. We have a host of politicians who have done nothing with their lives and careers that hasn’t been tax funded. They’ve never run a business, or practiced a profession. They’ve never had to meet a bottom line. They’ve never had to concern themselves with a true budget, because the taxpayer always has more.

Dear God people. Please elect someone to office who’s done more with his life than run a campaign. We do not need another ‘clever’ Minner in office. We’ll get ‘clevered’ to the poorhouse.
