Yep, I said it

Though I don’t really give two fucks whether Saddam lives or dies, I do know one thing: That hellhole was a better place with him than without him. I’ll put down $1000 plus interest that that country won’t get it together in the next half-century. Saddam was a brutal motherfucker who at least knew how to keep his pathetic country straight.

They should put him back in power and give him a medal for doing what needed to be done with those fucking fanatics! There’s always Rep. John Atkins, whos foray into pro-spanking legislation may just earn him a welcome spot in Iraq.
And George Bush can burn in hell, by the way! Send that bitch to the gallows!

Update: A sensible, right-leaning moderate chimes in:

Finally, even though I know he is guilty, and deserves to die, I still can not help but look at the pictures of the gallows and get a chill. There is something so final, so irreversible, so barbaric and primitive about capital punishment (in particular, hanging) that I still can not embrace it, even for scum like Hussein. Advocates of capital punishment will tell you that the finality and the barbaric aspect of the act are features, not bugs.

Update II: I suppose I should shield myself. Yes, I know Clinton lied as well when he claimed Saddam had WMD. I know the Democrats authorized war and many of them claimed he had WMD. For fairness’ sake, I believe most of them should be hanged, too! Not so much because they voted for the war but because most of them are colossal wastes of space. The only difference between Clinton’s lying about WMD and Bush’s lying about WMD is that Bush came to office with a perfect team of neo-cons that had been preparing the lie for a decade that would ultimately lead to this disastrous war.

Update III: Apparently, Saddam is dead. Most interesting is that the news stations are playing file footage of Saddam during his more promising days as brutal dictator. The footage is of him partying with friends and shooting guns in the air. You know…the basic dictator stuff. I’m thinking on file video the major “liberal media” outlets should be playing is that video of Donald Rumsfeld shaking Hussein’s hand. I don’t see that happening, though.

I’m hoping this another one of your posts in which you are provoking a ‘reaction’. Well, here it is: Quit letting your hatred of this administration (oh so trendy among young liberals) take a hot steaming shit on the bodies of the men and women who died to make Iraq better than it was under the regime of Saddam. I know two people, who have actually been there, that differ greatly in their view of whether it’s a better place now, and are anxious to see complete the job.
How’s that for a reaction, asshat?

I probably shouldn’t post when I’ve been drinking.

100 percent honest. It was better when our service men and women weren’t in harm’s way because of a lie. I guess this will start a new debate.

  3. MOT Newbie says:

I’m kind of enjoying how you tie Atkins into everything now, even Iraq (not really, because it appears many people hang on your every word — “hang,” get it?). I’m wondering about that paddling bill…are you actually hiding a desire to be the student on the receiving end?

I KID, you overflow of all that is snarky!

  4. Mike Protack says:

Good bye to Saddam Hussein. I hope the turmoil in Iraq is not inflamed by his demise and possibly the Iraqi government can get its act together.

    Still, good riddance.

Mike , the rate your going with all that drinking and sucking down Tacos I don’t think you’ll be here in 50 years to pay off.

I’ll bet you a dinner at Taco Bell Iraq will be in a civil war withi five years.

Keep up the good work, I hear the Feds are watching you more then the rest of us.

    heh!!!

I am with miscreant here in that Hussein was bad for his people, bad for the world and that taking him out and offering the Iraqis the chance for a democratically controlled state was worth the chance we took, especially given that we had our Sec. of State Powell etc. insisting that the mushroom clouds were eminantly upon us.

It is too bad that our administration and its civilian-led military fucked things up royally.

I will always believe that Bushco wanted the terrorism fight to continue on for years to win elections for GOPers and that that was why they did not ever intend to “finish the job”. We needed some 200K or more boots on the ground in 2003 to actually stabilize Iraq.

The blood of our breatheren is on Bushco, may the neocons all rot in hell.

In that case, let’s just elect someone like Saddam as the President. Then he can keep our country straight. So what if he threw every day thieves to the lions, literally. At least he kept his country straight. So what if he couldn’t keep his murderous sons under control. At least he kept his country straight. So what if he killed the entire prison population of Abu Ghraib to make room for more criminals. At least he kept his country straight.

  10. Mike Matthews says:

Better than keeping his country gay, that’s for sure!

    Hey JCA ,
I hear you are pissed at all the shit that seems to be sticking to you? I carefully reviewed the audio of 10/30/06 so helpfully posted by your friends at Asshole radio. On there you call the Millsboro police report “public”. Now that the shit has made contact with the fan you are a LOT LESS INTERESTED in anybody seeing that report (particularly the audio and videotape portions) see the light of day ….. mmmmmm why is that ????? Anything on there you might not want to be seen???? PUT UP OR SHUT UP ASSHOLE!!!

BTW I am a loyal Republian and if you quit now I’m quite sure you can be replaced by another Republican. Do the right thing or be the piece of worthless crap you are:

    Mr. Protack:
You are awful sanctimonious for a guy that was trying to peddle mud on you enemy deJour, Bill Lee in ‘04. You are a slimeball at heart please go crawl in your fucking hole too.

I love when this bit of imperialist self-justification rears its imbecilic head. Notice how it’s the sacrifice of the people who have been ordered to impose “democracy” on another nation that matter most.

I love this sophistry because it is horse shit on many levels. Our troops weren’t sent there to make the lives of Iraqis better off. If they were, then the occupation would have been–duh–planned. I’m sure that is what many of our troops were told and I have no doubt that is what many of them would like to be doing.

Nevertheless, as a universal matter of justice, the people who should be thought of first are not the invaders but the people who have been invaded and have to daily bear the brunt of the crossfire. They never asked for any of this. We should be concentrated on what they want. It’s their country and homeland.

Well, we know what they want. They want the invaders–US–out of their nation.

The last I knew people everywhere have a right to determine their fate, not just Americans.

So, that’s an opinion… You could validate it, or just keep pissing your pants and wringing your hands about how America is doing in opinion polls. Here’s a novel idea… at least have the balls to debate this issue on your blog, you pathetic coward.

  17. Mike Matthews says:

    Miscreant,

I fail to understand your point. Dana, on the other hand, seems to have perfectly explained his opinion.

  18. Chris says:

I like the fact that you are passionate and clear with your opinions; I don’t like the fact that you are a outspoken and blunt with 4 letter words. There are much better methods with which to express your opinions.

The world isn’t just black and white; there are different shades of grey.

We need to understand people’s motives and incentives for doing things. Did the administration lie? If they did, why did they lie?
